@introvertdoodles FTW again!

I appreciate that this was written with empathy for the extrovert’s point of view.

(But I’m 100% the person on the right.)

hahahaha the introvert PoV seems so foreign to me! Especially the “no asking questions” and “not staying for dinner” ones. Without context I would take both as super rude and personally offensive.

I don’t ask personal questions to strangers or casual acquaintances because I overthink it.  I worry that if I ask about their job it’ll turn out that they’re unemployed and embarrassed about it, or if I ask about their family they’ll be estranged, or something else hideously uncomfortable for small talk.

I’ll sometimes stay for dinner, but sometimes I think people don’t really want me there and just feel obligated to offer.  Also I can be a picky eater and I don’t want to make things weird by saying yes and then finding out I hate their food.

People in their early twenties still refer to people older than them as “adults”. When do you think they stop… and realize… they are adults

I’m not an adult, I’m a child with a drinking permit.

drinking permit

“What’s that in your sippy cup?”

“Vodka.”
