some people in my discord found this helpful when I was trying to explain my color choices for shading and how I like to shade with cooler tones and do lighting with warmer ones… I figured I’ll share it here, too, in case anyone could use it!

WebGL Wateris a great water simulator, with a sphere that can interact with the water’s surface. It can be paused which means you can then use it as a reference for lighting, reflections, refractions, etc.
not sure if this is actually helpful to anyone but I feel like the use of colors is very important for the kind of feeling you’re going for with your art! so I thought I’d show you what I think when I say “warm/cold/etc. colors”. keeping yourself inside one of the categories when drawing a piece can be very helpful – of course you don’t have to use only the colors showed here, mixing stuff is rad.
