As a nursing student, I can attest to the amount of bullying and horrible behavior I’ve seen from fellow nursing students. One of the students in my school’s nursing program got kicked out because she was bullying her own patient…
My mom is also a nurse and she has both witnessed AND personally experienced bullying from her fellow nurses. My dad is a nurse as well and has had his own coworkers try to sabatoge him.
This is called “lateral/horizontal violence” and it’s sadly prevalent in the Nursing profession.
I have this deep, pervasive desire to cultivate an aura of otherworldliness- I want to appear as with all the immediate features of a human, yet make strangers look twice to make sure they didn’t see an extra eye, or pointed teeth… I want my actions to be laced with the careful, infinite kindness that only ancient beings can know. I want not my face to reside in memory, but a note of wild calm, dark wisdom and ineffability.
Those appear to be bird tracks rather than bunny tracks! Ergo, it was a bird hopping and then taking off, not a bunny getting taken away!

Forgive my sceptism, but why would a bird with a supposedly wide wingspan hop around in the snow in the first place when tree branches would suffice in the beginning?

The mighty ptarmagin! Practically a feathered rabbit, these magnificent creatures are built for the snow.
Look at those boots! Wonderfully feathered. They spend most of their time as little snow lumps.
In fact, they’re very well known for the above phenomenon.

I’m not a teacher (yet) but I do work with students and one of them had the nerve to look me dead in the eye and ask me “why would it be a bad idea for me to eat this entire marker?” They’re 11

A student during break had her head in her arms and was shaking a bit, so i asked the kid next to her whether she was laughing or crying and this 8 year old stared me in the eye deadpan and said “im crying on the inside”
Wait i take that back, I cant believe i forgot about the time i brought in a small stuffed octopus as a class mascot because why tf not. It was a class of high schoolers and i didnt imagine theyd actually care much, but one student snuck in a snack and gave it to the octopus as a tribute. Which led to other students doing the same thing, until every day there was a pile of of offerings to Fweej the Overseer, mostly consisting of things like string cheeses and small bags of chips, but sometimes there wouldd be a couple bucks in quarters, one kid brought in some giant pocky i think, and at one point there was a cold stone gift card. This stuffed octopus gained a cult following.
Later i brought in another stuffed octopus that looked exactly the same but bigger and told the class that Fweej the Overseer accepted their offerings and became stronger. These highschoolers lost their goddamn minds.
Um…excuse me, but why is this labeled as “Straight Culture”? Are you saying this is something only straight people would do, because as a straight person, we aren’t all that stupid. I’m not saying that straight people are better than any other kind of person, I’m just asking that you don’t label us under something so offensive. I mean, how would you feel if I said that (in the right circumstances) this was “gay culture” or “trans culture” or “bi culture”. Doesn’t seem fair does it? Again, I’m not saying all gay/trans/bi people are stupid enough to do this, but neither are straight people. Thank you.
