I’ll tell you what’s ferocious. Freddie’s comeback to Sid calling him “Freddie Platinum” when they were recording down the hall from each other at London’s Wessex Studios (Queen for News of the World, Pistols for Bollocks).

Sid Vicious made the mistake one day of bursting into Queen’s control room and antagonizing their frontman. “Have you succeeded in bringing ballet to the masses, then?” he sneered. “Oh, yes, Simon Ferocious,” Mercury replied. “We’re trying our best, dear.” 

Then, according to Queen biographer Daniel Nester, Freddie rose from his chair and began to playfully flick the safety pins displayed on the front of Sid’s leather jacket. “Tell me,” he asked, “did you arrange these pins just so?” When Sid stepped forward in an attempt to intimidate Freddie, the singer simply pushed him backwards and inquired, “What are you going to do about it?” Sid immediately backed down. i think about the whole “names are power” thing a lot. i wonder if those long-forgotten spirits hear their names when they’re spoken with fervor, if they feel the energy rushing back to them after so long. i wonder if it’s different for those whose names are known but not honored, a different sensation to them that surprises them, rejuvenates them after centuries of moroseness and only being mentioned by scholars with no passion for them. i wonder if my whispers mean anything, i wonder if my whispers mean everything.

I dont know about anyone else, but this seems to be the case with Ptah-Tatenen-Nun, when I finally found out about him, and made that post asking people to praise his name, things changed. He changed.

I asked him once, and also Ptah-Ra-Atum what happened to the Netjer who are no longer remembered, and I got the impression of ‘falling into a deep slumber’

and that calling out to Them, saying and praising their Names, wakes Them up.

Which allows them to function properly again. :O

Tumblr was deemed too full of inappropriate content to be allowed to be downloaded from the app store.

It has this “inappropriate” problem because of rampant porn ad bot accounts. The old solutions were bots to detect image sets with nsfw content, the automatically enabled safe mode, tag filtering for mobile, and wide takedowns of nsfw bots based on words used (that’s why their messages are full of numbers and symbols, to evade this)

Tumblr released their own bot supposedly capable of wiping the ad bots, but it’s taking down many popular blogs, possibly due to sheer amounts of posting or sheer amounts of ad bots in their notes. This bot was likely rushed to be put out.

You are more likely to be accidentally flagged if you post external links, as well. If your acct is taken down you CAN get it back, but it’s a pain. E-mail tumblr support for help with this. It takes down side blogs with the main ones.

I’ll be halting posts for about a week or until this problem is fixed.
