if infinity war was like… written according to common sense and not for cheap drama… it would have taken exactly two (2) avengers to end Thanos’ purple ass and that’s Mantis and Wanda working together. maybe Valkyrie as their third party member if they needed some raw bisexual muscle. you noticed how the guardians never even made it to earth and Valkyrie was just entirely unaccounted for? if the three of them ever met it would be an instant story breaker. they’d be unstoppable.
Mantis: puts Thanos tf to sleep
Wanda: holds Thanos while Mantis is doing her thing, destroys the stones
Valkyrie: kicks Thanos in the nuts while he’s out
and none of THAT would have even been necessary if Shuri had only had like an extra week of prep time. the very first time she encounters Vision/an infinity stone she’s coming up with things that never even occurred to Bruce and Tony; you think she can’t come up with a way to neutralize all the stones and Thanos too?
you know what shame on me I’m completely overlooking Gamora and Nebula. get them on this team immediately. hating your dad >>>> raw power every time.
hey guys!! after realizing that no comprehensive godly parent quizzes exist, i decided to make my own!! now, this won’t necessarily give you a result you’re used to, but it should give you a more accurate result based on your personality :)) enjoy!!!
Hecate aka the queen herself !!

My man!!!! Like he’s not my actual godly dad but he is my mentor!

ed in fmab ep3:
Ed decided that God was a lil bitch and he just wasn’t going to endorse that.
Platonic love is real love and shouldnt be treated like less becuase it isnt romantic. Defining love as only romantic is a terrible concept. You should be able to love people in a platonic way as much as romantic way and not be seen as less
The Greeks were so much wiser than us modern folk, when talking about love. They believed it existed in eight different forms:
1. Eros (erotic love). This is, simply put, the sexual attraction you feel towards someone. In its best form, passion can be transformative… but it can also become destructive if not kept under control.
2. Philos (friendship). This is the love we treat as lesser in the modern world. Ironically, the Greeks considered it superior to eros as philos was considered a love between two equals and free of the animalistic pull of sexual desire. Philos is the kind of love two warriors who’ve shared a foxhole feel for one another.
3. Storge (familial love). This is the love and pride we take in our kinsmen and lifelong friends. For those who are deeply attached to their family name, who remember family members who pass on with great fondness… This is the name the Greeks, a culture based very much on accruing honour to one’s name and descendants, bestowed on this form of love, as it was so very important to them.
4. Ludus (playful love). The affection between young lovers, this is what we modern folk call “puppy love.” The flirting, teasing and childlike euphoria at being in a new relationship is all part and parcel of this form of love. The Greeks felt that love should have a sense of fun and play; it need not be serious 100% of the time.
5. Mania (obsessive love). This is what happens when love gets scary, and is the purview of stalkers and the most deluded among us. The Greeks believed that this occurs when there’s an imbalance between the presence of ludus and eros in one’s psyche. Those who experience this form of love also become codependent, and may be perpetrators of abuse of their loved ones.
6. Pragma (enduring love). This is a mature form of love, having aged like fine wine with time. It’s commonly seen in couples who have been married for decades, and is something we all secretly yearn for – the companionship that looks beyond our limitations, yet loves us for our frail humanity. A love where we are accepted unconditionally and will never stray from us. It’s hard to find, and takes a lot of time and patience to cultivate.
7. Philautia (self-love). This is where having a “positive mental attitude” and engaging in self-care comes in. The Greeks understood that, in order to care for others, we must first tend to ourselves. This is not a sense of vanity, but an awareness and acceptance of who you really are, showing yourself compassion in darker times.
8. Agape (brotherhood). This is the greatest form of love there is, and the hardest to aspire to. It demands nothing less than feeling love for all human beings, compassion for all creatures, an acceptance and forgiveness of the flaws of humanity, and the desire to ease the pain of those who suffer. To see in the eyes of every human being your brother, your sister – when humanity, in your mind, becomes your extended family. It’s not about paying lip service to religions that preach compassion, it’s about showing love for others in every word and deed.
So, if you thought romantic love (eros) was all there is to knowing and feeling love? You thought wrong. Let’s learn to love love in all its forms.
Ok seriously we’re not appreciating M’Baku enough?? Boy challenged T’challa, lost, accepted it and left. Then like 3 days later the king washed up on his shore and he’s like “aye I could use this to become king but nah let’s save the guy until he gets better” so now he has an unconscious, barely-clinging-to-life king in his living room, but he does everything to save him. Then the servants of that king show up, offer him the throne and the Black Panther serum which would pretty much make him invincible, and what does he do? Does he go “Mhm ok niiice” and accept it, thus becoming rightful king? Nope! He shows them the dying T’challa, who they bring back to life with the serum and leave. They ask for his army, but he doesn’t want to risk his people, but in the end realises they should stick together so he barges into the battle like the fucking Icon™ he is ok I just love M’Baku let’s give him the appreciation he deserves
M’baku is the personification of honour imo. You won’t find a defeated warrior with pride and honour like his that easy. Respecting his rival, the needs of his people and Wakanda itself??? Putting all that over his ego???? Someone raised that man right yo.
At the same time, we can’t forget T’Challa’s role in all this. He had M’Baku at his mercy, and could have easily killed him or gone out of his way to humiliate him. Instead he treated him as a fellow warrior with honor, and assured him that he respected his leadership of his tribe. That very much planted the seeds of M’Baku’s respect for him, and wound up serving as his own salvation.
It’s the rarest of unicorns – two competing alpha males whose masculinity isn’t toxic.
Idk Clarice, maybe we’re just tired, and life is uncertain, and we like the idea of a stable husband with a steady job and a big dog and his own place away from all the loud, shapeshifting-kink party gods.
– Persephone ghost wrote this.
Hades is a rapist
plz don’t romanticize a god whose most important mythological role was as a kidnapper and rapist
He didn’t rape her, actually. For a moment, let’s entertain that the most commonly studied version of their story (titled The Rape of Persephone) is the correct one. In that context, the word Rape doesn’t refer to an actual sexual assault. It refers to a loss of innocence. When Persephone was taken to the underworld, she left her sheltered and controlled life and began to see things as they really were. Demeter is the definition of a helicopter parent, and because of that Persephone was naive and too trusting. Her time in the underworld kind of showed her that she needed to grow up, take charge of her own life and power, and through the process she fell in love with Hades.
However, that’s not the only version of the story, and ones that predate it, state that Persephone not only seduced Hades, But went down to the underworld willingly-and ate the seeds knowing full well that it would bind her to the underworld. If anything, she did it at insurance to ensure that her mother couldn’t force her to stay up above by threatening to kill the mortals. There are also other stories that say that Demeter wasn’t Persephone’s real mother, and that she was actually the child of Zeus and a nymph who resided in the River Styx, meaning she had been the queen of the underworld all along and had been restored to her rightful throne.
Let’s also remember that Persephone is a GODDESS. not a poor defenseless maiden. Had she defied Hades, he would have backed off. He may be a King, but given her power and will, she would not have let him boss her around and force her to do anything she didn’t want to do.
So no, Hades isn’t a rapist. His brothers are, but not him. Can we stop acting like that horrible version is the gospel and make an effort to study the other ones please?
