it’s so difficult not being able to use milennial humor in a corporate setting. like i made a mistake today and i wanted to tell my supervisor it’s because i suffer from Dumb Bitch Disease, but do you think that would fly?? fuck no. i gotta say shit like, “sorry for the misunderstanding!” i can’t wait till the workforce is made up entirely of millennials and i can say “sorry i drank idiot juice for breakfast this morning” and my coworkers will be like “oh worm.”
Anyway the last point I have to make here is that even if tumblr breaks under the algorithm (almost certain if they don’t back out of using it) and/or everybody leaves… I don’t have anywhere else to go or post things
people like to joke about it being bad, but I legitimately really like Tumblr. it actually feels like a blogging platform in a world where facebook and twitter are active political weapons that manipulate us elections. i don’t feel like i’m baring myself to content i don’t want to see here, or having to engage with a popularity-focused culture. the content isn’t sorted to influence you or trick you. it’s a bunch of people being themselves on their own terms. it’s oldnet.
yes, i do use other websites, but i’m not interested in posting personal things to any of them. this was a place i had control over and i’ll stay with it until i can’t. and when that happens there’ll be nothing left.
Whenever I watch anime I’m basically always on guard for bullshit fan service no matter how far i’m in because anime was a mistake. So when the always suitably dressed train technician/driver said she was “releasing pressure limits” and began to take her coat off i was like oh god here comes the poor excuse to show her boobs…
BUT I WAS WRONG HERE COMES AN EXCUSE TO SHOW OFF HER RIPPLING MUSCLES HOLY SMOKES
😍👌👌👌🙏
ASLDKJASDLKJ F FUCK ME UP
HEY YOU GUYS
Since I’ve been somehow gaining followers right as Tumblr has hit Critical Hellsite, I wanted to let yall know that my Discord is RedGoblin99#8430 and you should absolutely send me a friend request. If you do so please message me on here as well telling me what your Discord name is so I know who’s who.
I use Discord about as much as I do Tumblr. I like Discord. I don’t have a server of my own but I can make one or invite people to ones I’m in. Please send me a friend request!
just to be clear, I’m staying here as long as this site functions. I have 0 intentions of deleting this blog, I will go down with this ship if only to see exactly how bad it gets
Big same.
Same, I’m staying until my blog gets deleted or Tumblr is obliterated.
okay im going through the rules and stuff on matsodon rn and
sexworkers are good here as long as what they post is tagged. the gore thing is :// but like the person said sexworkers are supported here.
all of this. all of this is hot as hell.
they actually have specific rules disallowing pedophiles and nazis+the terfs from the last screenshot.
dogpiling and harrassment and stalking is listed as a no go thank fucking god??
there is not one specific staff account as each member of staff has their own thing so it’d be most likely easier to get in touch with them
and the best part
a peek at the list of blocked domains?
ive legit been on this site for ten minutes and i feel safer on this site than ive ever been on tumblr. again im not like, leaving tumblr but this place is nice as hell.
I love how their post says “A better, more positive Tumblr” as if female nipples are what’s ruining the experience on this website and not bullies, racists, homophobes and actual nazis
Like. I’m a firm believer that porn online shouldn’t be within kids reach (those “are you 18” checkboxes for life) but. Like. Ok first of all, just ban cp? It’s not hard? Cp is what got you into this mess just ban it. Second of all, you could increase the age of sign-up from 13 to 18. Third of all, you could do what deviantart does and just. Require birthdays at sign-up. If your blog is flagged as nsfw, you can’t interact with minors. You want to follow an nsfw blog? Prove you’re an adult. You’re an adult but don’t want to see nsfw content? Safe search (that actually works).
It’s not hard to make a functioning website, but staff doesn’t seem to want to do that.
