Okay, but what if Harry did, at some point, settle down and become a Hogwarts professor? Maybe a few years after the kids are graduated and joints are beginning to ache and reflexes are beginning to dull, he finally gives in and accepts McGonagall’s prodding to come teach DADA.

I think it would have taken them a little time to explore, but Harry and Ginny realize they’d be happier in an open relationship. Ginny immediately also starts dating Luna, but Harry usually has less committed flings.

Then he goes to Hogwarts and there’s a whooooole lot of time with Neville and they’re the last ones that see they’ve fallen into dating. Like best gay dads of Hogwarts, please!!!

Gotta talk to Professor Potter or Professor Longbottom? They may be in the greenhouses or on the quidditch pitch, but odds are, if you’re looking for one of them, you’ll find them together, anyway.

Students aww’ing and giggling and pointing at the way Professors Potter and Longbottom hold hands under the table and sometimes even play footsie.

Good thing you can’t take House Points away for ‘bad’ behavior from Professors because Headmistress McGonagall swears no students have ever been caught snogging in the corridors as much as Harry and Neville have.

They’re never unkind about it, but if Gryffindor wins, Harry and Neville get ridiculously proud and do a synchronized, choreographed winning dance at the front of the hall that they absolutely practice and change up every year, even though it won’t be shared every year.

The kids just love them. They’re so supportive and legitimately listen to the student’s problems, totally the wonderfully dorky dads of Hogwarts who love and protect all their Hogwarts children. They often get letters from alumni asking for advice or support or just sharing good news and life updates with them. Each and every one gets a reply, usually drafted together.
