How fucking many times must it be pointed out that the whole ‘all intersex people no longer want to be part of the community, how dare you include them!!!’ shit was invented wholesale on Tumblr, because intersex people were speaking out in support of a-spec people / were throwing a wrench in the artificial ‘you only belong if you’re ~*~SGA and trans~*~’ narrative. There wasn’t any sort of organized push for leaving out the I for intersex on here until 2015-2016, when the Usual Suspects realized that a. this would continue to undermine community support for the inclusion of a-spec people and b. somehow, in their warped minds, kicking out intersex people (and a-spec people…. and nonbinary people who don’t ID as trans… and trans people who don’t subscribe to transmedicalist views… and pansexual people… and people who ID simply as queer…. would mean more time, more attention, more resources and more prioritization for THEM. That’s all this is – a hunger for being centered and prioritized, at the expense of everyone else).
