While I’m on the subject, I also believe that no one should be able to purchase higher quality legal representation, regardless of how much money they have. The quality of someone’s legal defense should have nothing whatsoever to do with wealth or poverty. The ability to purchase better legal representation essentially means that your ability to ignore or break the law is directly correlated with your wealth, and any system which allows that is fundamentally broken.
